Hanoi International Music Festival

Celebrating 10 years of the Minsk club in Vietnam, the Hanoi International Music Festival brought in some groovy bands. Great music flowed from Both Cheese, Peabody, James Harries, Stylish Nonsense and Ngu Cung stole the show. The shot above features the lead singer of Ngu Cung, all other shots are of Peabody.

Antonio Wingfield couture

Don't get confused about the chronology of my blog - I started this blog a few months ago and have not caught up on all my favorite projects.

This first work was displayed in the 2007 International Week Exhibition in the UNT Union, many of the models came from an excellent organization called Models of Style Exposed. Be sure to see their organization's (abbreviated mosé) annual "Exposed" show on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the UNT Gateway Ballroom.

models (L-R): Anastasia, Lanaya, Kendal K, and Emily B, makeup by VI-VE makeup. Special thanks to Stephen for use of his beautiful Victorian mansion, and Matt Gawlik for assisting.

Discover Daluva - Wine, Tapas, and events in the Westlake district of Hanoi, Vietnam. Daluva was recently opened and featured in this month's "Feed Me" section of East & West magazine. This set of photos I took for Daluva's advertising and to decorate the walls of their cozy establishment.

Nem, one of the delicious tapas at Daluva and a Vietnamese specialty. True to my previous food photography, I promptly had a taste once the work was finished. It's yum, and my favorite tapas dish is the spicy Italian meatballs.

These are a few of the regulars from Westlake out for a drink. Daluva had the novel and tasty idea to throw two opening parties and an art exhibition in the first days. After about 5 weeks of business they have a solid customer base that far exceeded expectations. There's even a place for kids to play upstairs (and I know this because I never want to grow up).

...and a parting shot: red wine, white wine. Alone together.
Seriously, this place is good.
Daluva. mmm...

I'm back in Texas!

...In my dreams. That's right, it's April Fools Day so it's time for all things fun & random. Coming up later this month is the Denton Arts & Jazz Fest. In celebration I'm posting a video I did about it a few years ago for a competition I won to work as a photographer/videographer at the University of North Texas. And now playing at every computer on earth with internet access, my youtube channel.

Opening music from Chicago, then "Prospekt Mira" as played by Barbara Buchholz, written by: Tilmann Denhard & "Chameleon" arranged and performed by Gary Eckert. The theremin music Barbara creates has really rooted itself in my brain in an awesome way. She's changed my opinion on and the way I listen to electronic music. Take a listen also to Barbara's myspace page and her side projects: Finnproject, Tango Electrique, and other collaboration with Tilmann.
