Buddy Sosthand
I know this guy. I must be cool. Didn't take the shot, wish I know who did BUT it's from Mens Journal, September 2007 - stunt performers modeled clothes while doing stunts and they called the series "Action Figures." Nice. If you find the photographer that did these shots, or the original magazine, I'm very interested.
Rock.
(If you know the name of the photographer I'd be interested in seeing their work)

Postcards from Cebu
I'm working on a series of postcards for Bigfoot Entertainment to showcase the most scenic parts of Cebu. Some of these shots will be the first view for potential clients/students/friends.

I'm thankful for...
NACHOS!!! And all the great things that go with it - family, friends, love, music, joy, fun. I'm not with family this Thanksgiving, but I will have the pleasure tonight of having a huge thanksgiving gathering with 50 of my fellow workmates. There won't be any Nachos, but there will be turkey. I'm not a big fan of turkey, but I'm into the tryptophan. Time for a nap. Speaking my friend Mel yesterday (who's still living in Viet Nam) she told me a turkey in Vietnamese translates back into English as "Western Chicken." I'm sure a few locals have called me that over the course of the past year :-)
Enjoy the photos, it's a glimpse into my humble apartment on Mactan Island, Philippines.

Chris Nicholas
Chris Nicholas is a singer and graduate of the University of North Texas. He moved to California recently to work with Ahmad Jamal as well as his own gigs and projects. Here are photos of his venerable (but devious) character :-)
A friend gave him this doll and he used it for a few shots at the end of our shoot.

Who invented the Matrix move?
It wasn't Keanu Reeves. It was José Rizal in his 1896 execution - only he didn't quite master the dodging bullets part. To be fair, there were many more gunmen present and Trinity wasn't there to cover his back with the clever line "Dodge this!" Nevertheless, credit must be given where credit is due. This martyr and Filipino hero deserves his place in history.
The firing squad.
Come to think of it, I think the whole storyline of the Matrix comes from this series of statues. Here's the scene where the agents tie up Neo and put the swimming, gross tracking bug in his belly button.
I don't think these last two contibute to the storyboard of the matrix, but they were fun anyway!

Carbon Market
By far, my favorite market in Asia is Carbon Market in Cebu, Philippines. That's really saying a lot after seeing some awesome places in Ha Noi, Danang, Saigon, Phnom Penn, Luang Prabang, Siem Riep, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo. On assignment for Bigfoot Entertainment, I photographed the beautifully grungy market and its people. I'm told it's very dangerous there (especially to go alone as I did this time) but I found most people to be extremely friendly. My latest trip there was for a fashion shoot. More to come. Oh yes.
