Fashion TV and me

I'm shooting a few segments for Fashion TV here in Cebu. This is my first.
For the would-be model naysayers, I tell you it IS hard looking this good!
Seriously, the rocks they posed on were sharp and we had about 50+ onlookers, plus nearly halted traffic.

Partners in crime:
James Farrel & Viktoria Hedberg - models
photographed & edited (video) by Michal Garcia
video shot by Jewel Jalandoni
model direction by Stefanie Techmer, aka "Steluna"
assisted by Bryan Whitfield
James did most of the photo editing, thanks!

Here are three of the shots, in higher resolution:

Editorials

Today, I've been in the Philippines for 1 month! woot! Funnily, I just received a 2-page editorial I've been waiting for to post. Looks like it takes moving to another country to keep up on my last country's publications. These are from Vietnamese magazines as photographed for Contraband and Things of Substance at the Intercontinental Hotel, Ha Noi. Photoshopping and graphic design (on ads) by Bethany Bauman. Model: Kristen Allerton. Above editorial is from Tư vấn Tiêu & Dùng Magazine. Thanks so much to Trang for sending these all the way from sunny Ha Noi, Viet Nam!

This ad and editorial are from The Word Magazine, Saigon

The last editorial is from Sức Mạnh Công Nghệ Magazine.

You can watch a video and read other posts about this shoot here and here.

Bros before photos

Dueling Jazzbros? Many a video title went through my head while going through some of the Richards Bros photos. Individually, they are great musicians. Put them together and you have a dream alliance.

Backside Pick

Backside Pick kicks off their Fall tour today. The band will be playing 15 dates in 14 different cities in 8 states. Here's a video of Backside Pick being photographed at the tour's inaugural venue: Hailey's club in Denton, Texas where they're very excited to be playing with Detroit-based NOMO. Check their myspace for information and tour updates.

Backside Pick is:
Rocky Ottley - guitar and vocals
Justin Stanton - keys
Cooper Appelt- bass
Tony Spiro - drums
Sylvester Onyejiaka - tenor sax
Nick Wlodarczyk- trombone
I previously blogged about Nick's music here.

not pictured, but awesome:
